The delegation from the Sri Lanka-Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce met with Golden and Food Manufacturing Ltd, a key player in the Canadian food industry, to discuss potential import opportunities and strengthen trade ties between Sri Lanka and Canada.

During the meeting, Golden and Food Manufacturing Limited expressed keen interest in importing coconut-based products from Sri Lanka, including coconut milk, nuts, desiccated coconut, and virgin coconut oil. This marks a significant opportunity for Sri Lankan exporters to expand their market presence in Canada’s growing food industry.

The delegation from the SLCBC also requested support in connecting with logistics providers to ensure the smooth handling and transportation of these goods between the two countries.

The discussions underscored the mutual benefits of enhancing trade in high-demand food products, and both parties agreed to explore further avenues of collaboration.
