Colombo, Sri Lanka – July 1, 2024 – The Sri Lanka Canada Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (SLCBC), in collaboration with the Canadian High Commission (CHC), commemorated the 157th Canada Day and hosted the Council’s Members’ Evening at the Hilton Residencies Union Place. The event, which commenced at 6:00 PM, was graced by over 150 attendees, including prominent business figures and dignitaries of the High Commission.
The Chief Guest for the evening was His Excellency Eric Walsh, High Commissioner of Canada to Sri Lanka, accompanied by Guest of Honour Mr. Daniel Bood, Counselor – Political and Trade at the Canadian High Commission (CHC).
The evening began with a one-minute silence in remembrance of His Excellency’s late wife, followed by a heartfelt farewell to Mr. Daniel Bood, who is concluding his tenure in Sri Lanka.
